Found this pic. Nice display of the power of OSX and a nice dual G5 of course :D If I would've tried this with my PC back then I could've just unplugged it after opening 1/4th of those apps.

I don't see Activity Monitor anywhere. It would be nice to see Memory usage with all those Apps up and running.


Edit: OK I see it in the dock. But still don't see it on the screen. Maybe it's really really small.

Yea its there, bottom left corner, second one in. It's a tad illegible though...

That is dang impressive, I mean FCP, Macromedia Studio, Adobe CS, Garageband etc, he's got some pretty heavy duty apps going on there...but obviously Flash would have pushed it over the edge! I mean he wouldn't want to be accused of showing off now! :p I'm sure the Mac dance was pretty cool too.

Looks cool but any modern computer can easily pull that off. I know because I have add about that must stuff open on my desktop and i was pushing it with doing a lot harder stuff. and it still was not complaining

But Mac OSX isnt good at multi tasking and the G5 only has one pipeline!!! :D :D

Its one thing to open all your apps - its another to actually use them....;)

I've had 6 major apps up and running at once on a dual 1.25 with OSX and not really suffered too much in terms of performance, continually jumping from one to the other...but I wasn't doing any rendering, then I only use that one app.

The apps.... Lightwave Modeler, Lightwave Layout, Photoshop, Illustrator, FCP and QuickTime (Safari, too)
