 I hate the cable company.
Of course the cable is out so I called the company. " We can have someone out there tomarow between 8 and 11am. Well it is not 11:30 and no cable guy. But when I called they said there sorry and will give me a $20 credit. This works out to $6.67 per hour (not including the time after 11). What a way to run a railroad.
At least I have DSL so I can quell my bordom with this post.

The only thing I like about my cable is my internet speed. Price and service for the most part are kinda crumy. I could switch to a different cable company (I have two in town, and the other is cheaper, but I havn't anything good about them). I would like it if I could get a cheap alturnative to cable broadband with the same or better speed (I currently have a 3.0 Mbit connection).

I heard if you slip the cable guy fifty bucks he'll give you all the movie channels for free,
even the dirty ones.
Sorry, the title of this thread reminded me of one of my favorite comedies of all time.
I've had very similar experiences, but I'm too timid to call and request some sort of compensation.
Just watch some cartoon network to pass the time....

According to who?
He has made at least one movie a year since then (the exception being 2002).

That's what I've been doing the past couple of moths with TV shows. I don't have the time to sit down from exactly 8PM to 9PM to watch a show that I would like to see, so I download it off BT..... I'm doing that right now with the vice presidential debates. I just don't have the time to watch something when the cable company decides to show it..... lol, this post is about me (probably illegally) d/l tv shows off the internet, well I don't care, to me it's the same thing as taping it.

You all will be happly to know he just left. It turns out that the office did not turn the box on so he was in my house a total of 4 minutes and then it was fixed. There has got to be a better way.
By the way I like the Cable Guy as well. Besides Jim, Broderic was pretty good in it.
So that brings the end to a totaly pointless thread.

Oh no you didn't!
You must be that guy that everybody has in their office who makes a comment so
over the line, that the whole conversation is ground to a screeching halt.

I made a film for the school film festable about how crappy (Comcast) our cable company was. It was rather ammusing with a very risky twist at the end (well risky for school at least.)
Long story short: gave me a good reputation at school (now called "The Comcast Dude") and almost won me $250 bucks! (But freshman can't win! Only Seniors can  )
Sadly though the video was tragically lost when my Lacie external Hard Drive crashed and burnt....... never to be seen again..... :(

I just had to chime in to add that The Cable Guy is one of the worst movies of all time, and Jim's character was annoying and not funny. I almost walked out of the cinema for the first time during that movie. The other movies that almost made me walk out was Spawn and Paycheck. Cable Guy was worse than Paycheck.
