If you ignoramous dorks read more carefully you would notice that I refer to version 1.7 which is the first version that actually allows you to set the gpu manually.

Problem is, while I'm not entirely sure it's 1.7 I have been reading about people manually switching the GPU for a few days already; maybe even longer.

I for one didn't know about 1.7 being available. I'm not sure how I missed it. I guess I was stuck in the 80's too. I've been using 1.6.1 and love it. The "new" ability to lock onto a specific GPU is great!
