This was one of the apps I played with at the Apple store. It was pretty neat since it would continually refresh ranking as laps were complete. You'd also see track position and movement from a top down perspective. You can rotate to driver position, but it just messes with the 2d image and gets very pixelated.
I think it would be ideal for a live race, but living in the US the timing rarely sinks up. You may get access to historical content as well. There is an F1 thread in the Discussion area, perhaps somebody in there will have better feedback?
