This is from the site Cheney tried to send everyone to during the debate. It concerns an earlier claim by the Bush - Cheney campaign, which Cheney repeated during the debate, on Kerry's votes in the Senate to raise taxes.

Of the 98 votes for "tax increases," 43 were cast on budget measures that only set targets and don't actually legislate tax increases. Often,*several*votes are counted regarding a single tax bill.

The ad also strives to blame Kerry for raising taxes on the "middle class" and says "There's what Kerry says and then there's what Kerry does." But a close look shows the votes cited in this ad are*in fact*fairly consistent with Kerry's promise only to raise taxes on those making over $200,000 a year.

Yeah, it's pretty sad when the place Cheney was trying to send people to prove he was right is so badly proving him wrong. Not that Edwards was right about everything, but it seems he only made a few minor mistakes vs. a lot of Cheney's glaring inaccuracies.

Judging by how slow it was, when you could even access it, I'd say a lot of people are giving it a look. Good for them.

How many "Joe Averages" are going to chase up a web site?

Most will just believe what they are told at face value.

And even if they do they were told to go to factcheck.com not org. :D

At any rate there obviously were enough people that it actually crashed factcheck.org.

The redirected site http://www.georgesoros.com/ has a blurb and a link to the correct site. Both were going very slow last I checked.
