iPod Diagnostic Mode

on http://www.ipoding.com there is a page about the diagnostic mode on the ipod ( http://www.ipoding.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=3 ). i don't have an ipod, but could someone confirm that there is a remote test?
