linking imac with macbook?

So within the next week I will be picking up a new imac(21 inch), as I need more power then my 07 black macbook can put out. Currently I'm using a 24inch external hooked up to the macbook, which I plan on using on the imac as well. My only question is, is there a way to, i guess daisy chain my macbook to the new imac? So I would essentially have 3 monitors, 2 computers, and 1 mouse/keyboard? Sorry if this has been discussed before, wasn't sure what to search.

This program allows you to share a mouse and keyboard between 2 Macs, I currently use it on my mini and Macbook, it works pretty good and you can even use it to wake a sleeping Mac
