Vein like lines on 2008 Imac screen.

Hey guys, I am starting to see these weird branching lines across my screen. They are not strait lines but more like veins. They appear more obvious depending on which color happens to be on that part of the screen. I can see them the best when I have a grey background like the workspace of photoshop for instance. I keep looking up the problem but all i can find are people that have strait lines across the screen. Again it was purchased new in October 2008. Any ideas yall?

Could be image persistence. Any way you could send photos?

A couple of weeks back somebody reported something similar on a new iMac. Apple service suggested it was caused by operating at high temperature, above the allowed maximum, if I remember well. Try to search this forum.
