That symbol is the "You should not be taking a screen shot on your iphone while driving 39 mph and approaching a bend in the road" warning. 🙂

Ah ok I wasn't seeing the lightening bolt, to me it looked like a satellite dish meaning what I didn't know.

It appears that that symbol means the device isn't plugged in and charging, at any rate it goes away when I plug it in. That could be handy.
