Have you ever seen this before?
What does it mean? Should I not use it? What is a data fork?
Alpha, you da man. What is it?

I think a data fork has something to do with how a the OS finds data, or the hard drive, or something like that. You might want to run a drive diagnostic utility to make sure that nothing's going terribly wrong with your Mac...
If you were using a pee-cee, you could use ScanDisk! :p

This happens with some files. It has only happened to me with software not bought. I use the files and have no problems with them at all.
Hope this is useful

It means that the file you downloaded (The compressed file) was not complete.
In other words, it can't verify the file (data fork).
So if you expand it, and try to install the program, the installer would probably hang and fail...
I had this prob before, just re-download it completely.
