Hello,
I have the apple wireless mouse with the dlink blue tooth adapter. I have noticed that when I put my computer to sleep, or just leave it on the mouse batteries die really fast like 1 to 2 days. Anyone else having this issue?

Are you remembering to turn the mouse off. There is a switch to turn the mouse off, otherwise the optical light that is used to measure movement stays on. And will make it go though batteries like nothing.

How do you turn it off? By closing the little flap over the light?
Thanks

just simply close the flap, and the mouse wont turn on.
Interesting though that it doesnt "sleep" with the computer. my mouse sleeps when I sleep my PB. maybe its because of the adapter.

I've been using my Apple BT mouse for about a week now and I haven't turned it off at all. I did get a BTO iMac with internal BT module. Don't know if that makes a difference.
I keep spare lithium AAs for when the original batteries die.
One thing i have noticed is that it only takes tiny movements to wake the mouse. I don't suppose your mouse is exposed to unusual levels of vibration that would keep it from sleeping, like maybe you live near an elevated train. :)

little cat hairs and dust particles used to get constantly stuck inside the LED sensor, causing it to blink rapidly, and never sleep. just a thought, try cleaning it. an even better option than an off switch (because it's still draining energy, no matter how minimal) would be to remove the batteries when not in use. WOW IT'S OFF AND IT WEIGHS LESS, good for travel.
