Hey,
Basically I am looking at buying a 27" iMac (will be getting after WWDC just incase they bring new ones out!) and would love to be able to play PS3 on it. I have heard on here that it is possible but you need to buy an adaptor, however I cannot find any adaptors for sale on British websites, only American. Can anyone give me the name or a link to one of these adaptors which are sold in Britain?
Thanks,
Anthony

Kanex's website says Amazon.co.uk and Computers Unlimited ( http://www.unlimited.com/cu/products.do ) are distributors.

Don't get too excited, the 27" iMac does NOT accept 1080p input. Only 720p and some weird 2560x960 resolution.
I still can't figure out why Apple gave us video input capability but left out the ability to input the native resolution of the display.

Right I cannot find it on Amazon, so I guess I will have to wait until I get my new iMac and then phone up Computers Unlimited and buy one from them.
Thanks

Thanks but that is the American website, it's not on the English one. Is there any way you can get American items delivered to England?

Does this essentially mean that it does not look as good as it should when using the iMac in this manner?

Amazon.com has international shipping policies ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_navbox_596184_ways?nodeId=596194 ), so I would think they ship it to you.
I would guess it would be cheaper and faster to buy it locally.
Kanex sells it on their site: http://kanexlive.com/products/item-id-3870.html .

720p is is doubled to the native resolution (double in horizontal and vertical) so it should look great.
But if your game (or other video devise) supports 1080i or 1080p then it theoretically could look better with a good scaler.

Just buy it from the kanex website - http://kanexlive.com/products/kanexXd.html
I ordered it from there and they delivered it to UK. Be sure to select the UK power adapter.

My imac 27inch can accept a variety of inputs one of which is 1920 x 1080 :p:p...don't complain about something if you have dated technology. Obviously your imac is old and this device probably got released after you bought your computer. :D
