Hi

I am looking at getting an old Unibody Macbook, the original one which came out, 13", 2.0GHz, 2GB, 160GB HDD etc and I was wondering how long does the battery last in it?

I heard it wasn't that long, can I install the new longer 9-10 hour battery into it?

A few other side questions:
- Can I put in a bigger HDD?
- Can I put in more RAM?

Thanks!

The 9-10 hour battery life comes from a combination of hardware changes that you cannot replicate on an older machine. Not sure if it would even fit in a unibody Macbook, not that it really matters. Yes you can upgrade the Hard drive and RAM if you want.

You can replace the battery with a new one but it won't be bigger capacity. Still will be 5-ish hours.

But YES you can replace your HDD and RAM. There are instructions in the user's guide. :D
