How will apple transfer over your phone number and stuff onto a new micro sim which will be in the new iphone hd? Any idea?

do you already have an iphone? if so, just sync it to your computer. if not, i'm pretty sure there's some kind of sim card reader they have that plugs in to the computer, don't they?

Sync with iTunes for data, contacts, etc. Apple Store/ATT Store will activate it and transfer your number over.

I have a question, I'm on Verizon, I'm planning to cancel when the new iPhone comes out and switch to AT&T, but I want to keep my phone #, so do I cancel first than go sign up with AT&T or the other way around?
Bring your account info and PIN number with you to AT&T, the porting will take care of the rest.

Exactly.
Dont cancell first, you will lose your number.
Let AT&T do the porting and all the legwork.
Next thing you know you will have the same phone number on a new iphone 🙂

Just go to the ATT Store. Sign up, and they will transfer your number and cancel your Verizon account.

Verizon will bill you the ETF amount.
Call and find out details about your account and remaining contract length.

Yeah I got like 6 months till my contract ends so I'm guessing the ETF will be around $100 instead of $175.
