Hey MacRumors,

Long-time troll for advice, first time poster... anyway, I have been using my old college PC (I know, I know) to sync my iPod Classic and keep my old library alive. Up until recently, the fates allowed this to happen. Suddenly, though, my PC and iPod are having a feud! The PC tells me the iPod is corrupted in various permutations. At the Apple store, it can be synced (after Mac restoration) to a Boot Camp XP iTunes, but at home it still gets picky. And my Apple Care apparently ran out!

Anyhow, it's synced to my girl's MacBook, but I am only allotted a small playlist of my own amid a sea of bad pop music. Any ideas? You guys and gals are the true geniuses, after all.

Thanks for any help!

Im sure you have, but have you tried resetting (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320) your iPod?

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I tried a reset. A few, in fact. I even tried diagnostics, which went fine up until asking to check Firewire (didn't have the cable handy to test with). It boots fine, iPod software is totally fine, it only gets wonky when syncing to a PC. Weird, huh?

Could be something wrong with your computer. Try it on another pc.

Or perhaps Microsoft killed your iPod support. =p

Try reinstalling iTunes.
