How do I get iphotos to open with iphone photos?

Whats the default app for you device? Open Image Capture, while the device is attached. I think you can also change the default location here to.

Open iPhoto, Click on the iPhoto menu option, then on Preferences. Click General and on the bottom of the window there's an option called "Connecting camera opens:" Pick iPhoto. 🙂
