Has anyone tried to install Snow Leopard onto their first generation of Macbook (13" White)? I maxed out the ram to 2GB and am wondering if I can put Snow Leopard on it before I purchase the Box Set. I appreciate any input.

The Core Solo is 32 bit only, but Snow Leopard runs in both 32 and 64 bit. Besides, there's many other features in Snow Leopard than 32 bit.
To the original poster: Snow Leopard will run just fine on a 1st gen MacBook. I've got it on mine.

Snow Leopard runs in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes, neither of them "pointless."
OP- You should be fine running Snow Leopard on your Mac.

One of the reasons they changed the name of the notebooks (from iBook to MacBook, for example) was so that people would be able to differentiate between what was a PPC computer and what was an Intel computer.
