Softbank to At&t? Can I change my Japanese provider once I arrive it the US?

Hi

I have the 3G S Iphone purchased in Japan and my provider is Softbank. I am moving back to the US and want to keep my phone just change the provider. Is this possible?

Ask softbank if they provide an official carrier unlock for the iphones they sell.
If not it wont be able to be used on any other carrier but softbank unless you JB and unlock it.
