iphone 3g 16gb Screen flashes white

If a 16gb iPhone 3g screen starts flashing white but there's no breaks or water damage what could be the cause of it? Anyone know?

Sounds like you might need a new screen.
All you see is just white color and nothing else?

Yes. It powers on and off fine though. Can I purchase one of those new screen kits on eBay and fix it?

Give it a try if your good at stuff like that.
If not u can damage it further.
