That maybe a noob question, but is it possible? Do they have a wifi unlimited plan? I just saw this article from Apple Insider and it made me say hmm. http://tinyurl.com/35y83pb

No. Data plans only apply to 3G, which your iPod touch doesn't have. Wifi is already "unlimited."

If you use AT&T broadband as your home ISP, then chances are it also includes (or has the option of adding) unlimited WiFi access at all AT&T-operated hotspots nationwide. That offer would apply to every WiFi-based device you own, including any laptops, as well as your iPod touch.

You are getting 3rd Generation mixed up with AT&T 3G, the two things are not the same.

Ah ok. I have Verizon, I think I figured out what I need from your comment. I want a wifi router device, something portable that I can put in my backpack so that I always have Internet/wifi access. Where can I get something like that? I don't want to do the hotspot thing, I want my own hotspot.
