iPod 3rd Generation (Touch wheel) will not restore!

Hi everyone!

I cannot seem to restore my iPod. It is over Firewire 800 to 400 converter on the system in my signature. Latest software etc. Just gets stuck on the attatched image!

Any ideas?

Try USB since the 3G was the first iPod that could sync over USB as well as Firewire.

I have had this happen to me. the only i have found to fix it is buy a new hard drive. they sell them online. in my opinion the 3rd gen is the worst ipod to have, i have gone through 2 hard drives and 3 batteries. i would sell it and try and get some money out of it because you are going to just spend alot of money on it.
