How to transfer files and preferences from my old mac to my new one when it arrives

My new powerbook will be arriving a couple days. Is there an easy way to just transfer my current user from my old powerbook to this one along with my files? Some sort of setup assistant that will do it for me?

I apologize if this has been covered before, I did a search and didn't come up with much information that was conclusive

Will this new setup assistant be on my new powerbook, or is it only for G5s? :confused:

You should be OK: it'll probably come up as an option when you turn the PB on for the 1st time.

Yes, it was on my 1.33 G4 PowerBook when I got it in July. It makes life very easy.
