21.5" High-pitched noise

Recently my 21.5" iMac started having this really really high pitched noise coming from the bottom left-ish.

What's causing this and what do I have to do? :confused:

*I've only had it since January 11th.

And if I have to get it replaced, how does that work? Is it backed up anywhere?

Depends where you are located, but my advice would be:
1. Contact Apple service (Apple Store?, Place of purchase?, Customer service?) in order to repair (replace computer, if you are lucky/unlucky?).
2. Buy yourself an extended Applecare while you still can.
