Using more than one Time Machine HD?

I use Time Machine with an external western digital hd, and I've just ordered a second one so I'll also have an offsite backup.

I plan to back it up once a week and leave it in my car. Rather than doing a fresh backup onto it every week, can I use it as a second Time Capsule? Or will that confuse things?

I think TM only works with one drive thus use CCC (http://www.bombich.com/) (better than TM)
