View Full Version : Why there was not anything about the new iPod touch in WWDC??

I saw the news of the WWDC but there was not anything about the iPod touch. is there any new iPod touch that is going to be released?? the show was all about the iPhone 4!
and aslo, in the apple.com in the iPhone page there was pictures and features and even the price of iPhone 4 but in the iPond touch page there was'nt any new thing, just the old 3rd generation.
what is going to happen??? :confused:

because all iPod models are refreshed/introduced in September :rolleyes:

ipods (including the touch) have their own special event in september. you'll have to wait until then to learn about the 4th gen ipod touch. as for the update to os 4, it'll be free for ipod touch users.

Apple refreshes their iPod line up every year in mid-september. they have the back-to-school promo (free ipod with computer purchase) to clear their stock then they release the new iPods at a smaller media event.

Only a few more months to go. Wonder what will be new? Maybe a redesign of the case so it matches the new iPhone.

Here's my guess:

1) They'll get rid of the ipod classic.

2) new Ipod touch will be the same as the new iPhone4
with New case and screen etc.. with the following differences:
There will be a 64GB option like the current one, and
there will be NO forward facing camera

This will make people complain a lot, but invariably changes like this must be done to differentiate the iPhone.

Also they might get rid of the 64GB option and only have 16 and 32GB options so as to ot tramble on the iPad and to give a lower price point.
I will hate Apple if it does this, but I can understand why, if they do.
