I accidentally wiped my virtual PC from my powerbook.
Now struggling to find my Access files: can anyone suggest any tactics or software specifically for losers like me?
Many thanks if you can help,
JP

JPNo one can protect you if you insist on being stupid. However, MacOS X's Unix underpinnings give you some degree of protection, if you chose to use it. It is recommended that you add an account with privileges lower than that of the Administrator. Use your Adminstrative account to install software and other such uses. For your work, use your non-Administrative account.

Actually, that sounds like a PITA for normal work. Basically, if you wiped the drive image from VPC, it's going to be hard to get back. If you just installed the program but still have the image, reinstall and boot it back up. This however does serve as a reminder to always back up.
