:confused:I would like to be able to take a customer job that is a pdf 4 color process and convert it to a 2 color spot printing job. Can that be done with "PitStop"? Or would I upgrade my imagesetter RIP software (Harlequin) to handle pdf's?

Much easier to automate the other direction with Acrobat Professional (2C -> 4C).

If it were possible to merge CMY to one plate and retain K for the second plate, color would still be unpredictable.

It really depends on what it looks like. Does it essentially look 2-color now? I've used PitStop's color change tool to change some 4-color orange to a spot in the past.
