Why did apple decided to not include in the trash warning the amount of megabytes that are to be deleted? This feature was in OS 9 and before and its pretty annoying to have to double check the trash before deleting.

Likely because simply giving the number and size of files in the Trash would in no way indicate if anything important was about to be deleted, but would eat up time calculating those values before you could empty it. Perhaps it would be a good option for cautious users, and it could easily be shut off be reckless ones....

Why does it matter how much rubbish you have in there? Isn't it enough to know that you'll have more space available afterwards?

Is it really necessary to use bold on your whole message?

If you want it to give you the little warning thing, get iCan (http://www.kanzu.com/). That is what I use. It lets you have custom trashcans and they can be on the desktop, or in the menu. When you empty the trash from its icon, it wil ask if you are sure.
