i have a powerbook g3 400 lombard running os 9 and an hp laserjet 6mp printer that i use through the infrared port.
in the past with other printers via hardwire connections, i have always set the "Background printing" option so that i could continue working while printing
but when i try to do that with my current setup it doesn't seem to work--either i still have to wait for it or when i try other ways it never prints at all
is background printing not possible with infrared maybe because the printer only sees the information during that short amount of time that i point the laptop at it and must print it there and then or never?
