Can't send pictures via bluetooth

I'm having a problem sending pictures from my Samsung U800 to my iMac using the bluetooth connection.

I've gone through all the set up adding my phone and it has said that it is connected successfully and has a list of the folders on my phone but when I open the folders there is nothing in them.

Alternatively when I try to send the pictures from my phone to the iMac it instantly says 'Sending Failed'.

I had an issue with phones when I was on Verizon not allowing me to transfer files via Bluetooth, I think the cellular provider managed to somehow block the bluetooth file transfer to the phone.
