Ipad Movie On TV Handbrake Settings

Has anybody watched a movie from the Ipad on a HD TV?

I've converted some 720p movies using the AppleTv setting in Handbrake. If I play this back using the Ipad through the TV will it be 720p quality, or AppleTV quality?
