Anyone given the option of the $399/$499 early upgrade option?

I didn't and I don't get it.

I thought anyone with an eligibility date
after December 2010 would at least get
the $399 or $499 option.

Why is a 16GB phone costing me $599?!

And no white phones?
 
I did for one of my lines that's eligible for upgrade in December. I'm not upgrading that line regardless.

did you do an early upgrade to get a 3GS last year? I heard they won't allow early upgrades until 18 months after your previous one.
 
I get the option of $499 when I TRY to buy the iPhone 4, with an $18 service fee. But I can't get to place my order....
 
It depends how much money you spend on you're account. If you spend over a certain amount they give you that option earlier, otherwise its like a year and a half or something until you get the early upgrade... and two for the full upgrade.

I upgraded and got a full discount and bought the 4G for $299. I was only 11 months into my original contract and I only pay $85 a month.

My friend did the exact same as I did and he is only 8 months into his contract.

We both ordered from attwireless.com.

Same here....11 months into 3Gs and $299. First upgrade though..as my 3Gs was my first iPhone.

Now I can't wait for iPhone 5 !!!!!
 
I got the $599 no commitment pricing from Apple.com

I will pass. My wife got the $199 so she's in 🙂. At least I can play with it for a little bit 🙂.

I hate AT&T.
 
I got the $399 upgrade for husband's 3GS that was bought launch weekend last year. Our upgrade date was 2/2011 for full eligibility but they allowed the partial upgrade price right now. We are Premier customers if that makes a difference.
 
It's showing the $599 price for me too. AT&T is just pissing me off so much I might just leave when Verizon comes. This is ridiculous. They move up upgrades for tons of people so they pay $199 but make everyone else pay $599. Great job AT&T.

Will the $599 at least not extend my contract?

$599 is no commitment price so it won't extend the contract... they moved up full upgrades, partial upgrades are based on the amount of your bill.
