So who downloaded "The Sun" app? own up!

I was disappointed to see that the £4.99 Sun app is top of the charts in the uk? Who downloaded that? I thought that iPad users would have better taste in newspapers.
 
Fair enough, but I am told they are available elsewhere on Internet without giving Murdoch a fiver.
 
That's actually surprised me.

I thought the surveys of Apple owners showed strongly a higher educational and social demographic..

True, but more than a few people are paying Hugh Hefner monthly for access to his website. Maybe some people feel like it's better if they spent money on it.
 
I was admittedly tempted for about 5 seconds.

Waiting on the Telegraph to produce their own app. Don't really want to go with The Times as i've never read it before.
 
When I worked in Belfast, a colleague once claimed to be able to tell what newspaper anyone reads.

He picked most others correctly, then he decided I read the Sun.

I have never, ever bought a single issue of the Sun. I still don't know what about me makes me a natural Sun reader.

iPad owners not necessarily the same type as Mac owners I suppose?

I downloaded it, so far so good, but a couple bugs and some conservative bias 😛
Other newspapers should follow, right price and you get the full newspaper from 6am.

It's only for light reading in the morning, if I want real news I'll go to the BBC website. 😉

Might just be popular because it's new, like the wired magazine, it would be interesting to see the sales figures for the second month.
 
I bought the Scotsman app for iPhone, but felt the screen was too small for a full newspaper screen, might be ok if they produce an iPad version. I'd happily pay for an iPad version of The Herald.
