Toshiba's Canvio 750GB external hd swap for macbook pro 13"?

looking to purchase this hd and use it inside my macbook bc i can get an amazing deal on it vs buying the WD blue 750gb..

will this work or is it setup like the new passport essentials are where the micro-usb port is part of the hard drive?
 
A review on Newegg said they completed this process; however, can anyone confirm? I'm looking to get terabyte drive for my late 2008 MBP unibody. These Canvios are 5400 rpm too…
