Hey guys,
I know this is a reach, but I am looking for an app that will collect the WAN side ID address of my router and then email it to me (or at least log it in a txt file) The reason is, my ISP provides dynamic address, however I want to be able to reach my home server from work (access to my files, music, pics, etc) or give my friends access to files while I am not here.

Is there such an app out there? Could this be scripted in Apple Script?

Thanks,
Jason

try a service like http://www.dyndns.org/ or http://www.everydns.net/

I use an application called IPMenu (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14221) that tracks your IP and will e-mail you if it changes, which is probably more what you want than a constant reminder of identical IP addresses.

Edit: screen grab
