iPod touch Transferring Data on Ipod Touch?

I was wondering if when i get an Ipod Touch, will i be able to download apps and music from different computers?

So if i were to create an Itunes account, would i be able to download apps and such from multiple computers?

Is data stored on the computer or on the iTunes account?

Data is stored on both the computer and the account, so as long as multiple computers are authorized to use the same Apple ID, you will be able to transfer purchases (stored on the iPod) between computers. Note that you can only sync to one computer at a time, and you will have to format the iPod every time you switch between Windows and Mac OS.

So if I were to use my computer and a friends, that would work? How would i authorize the Apple ID to both accounts? Thanks.
