MacResQ, a company I've had great dealings with over the last 5 or 6 years is about to lose me as a customer forever. I've been trying to get in touch with them for the last week or so, to no avail. No email response, and their phone numbers all just tell you to contact them through email.
On October 1 I ordered a 12in iBook G3 from them. It seemed like a pretty good deal and would be a good replacement for my girlfriend's iBook. Almost as soon as I hit the submit button I decided she'd probably be better off with an iBook G4. So I called MacResQ to try to cancel the order. No luck, you can only contact them through email now (when did this start?). So I shoot off an email no more than 10 minutes after my order is submitted to support and sales, just as they ask. 5 days later, still no reply. I assume it was cancelled.
Friday Airborne drops off my iBook. Oh well, I figure. I open the box and the CD tray is broken. I get an RMA, they were incredibly quick at responding on this one, and sent it back off. End of last week I get my replacement. By now I've kind of had it with the whole thing and decide I want to send it back under their 15 day refund policy. So I start emailing. And I've been emailing them ever since. I haven't so much as gotten a simple "we're really busy and will get back to you", nothing, nada. I even tried from a different address (on the off chance that somehow my domain was black-holed or something). As it is I have no other means of communicating with them as they only have a voicemail telling you to email them if you call.
So, maybe someone out there reading the lounge can tell me I'm crazy. That the MacResQ team has been bending over backwards to assist them over the last week and that my email must be getting lost in the ether. Or maybe someone knows another way to get in touch with them? Like I said, I've been a happy MacResQ customer for years, but this is getting a little crazy.
thanks
eric
