Am I the only one loving this album?

It took some getting used to, but I really like this album.

'The pleasure is all mine', 'where is the line', 'Vokuro', 'Mouth's Cradle', and 'Who Is it' are my favorite tracks.

Bjork sings beautifully. Her voice grows on you - I used to hate her voice, till I listened to 'Bachelorette' a couple of times.

Any other Bjork fans?

Duff-Man says....huge Bjork fan here....the weirder she gets the more I like her - I much prefer the stuff from Homogenic on to the first 2 solo records. The Royal Opera House DVD is totally awesome. I've played Medulla a few times and it is out there - I can't wait to get the DVD-Audio version and here the 5.1 mixes.....oh yeah!

I really love bjork, but I do subscribe the trainspotting theory that 'We all get old and we cannot hack it.' With that said, her new stuff is good, but deep down, I know its just *****. Vespertine was just okay. Selmasongs was just okay. Homogenic and Post were the jesus in binary. She's still good, but she'll definitely never top herself.

i have a friend of mine who is mad on bjork , he has all her albums and most of her bootlegs too . He has been to london, paris and iceland to see her many times, but i still think she has an appeal to some die hard fans out there hell even i like some off her songs if only iTunes would have more of a selection i might buy some more.

New albums pukka...

Although I'm still of the opinion that she's never topped the beautifully organic Debut, each subsequent record kinda suffered from being more over produced than the previous one...

Always loved her voice myself, even going back to her time in the Sugarcubes! :)

Love the Sugarcubes!

Bit disappointed with Post & Homogenic: just thought they were a bit patchy. Liked Vespertine better...

Have yet to hear this new one, though.

Well, seeing as it's my birthday soon... I'll have to start dropping some hints.

Just heard one of the tracks on the radio yesterday -- I like!

I've wanted to listen to Medulla for a long time.

The only Bjork tracks I've heard are all from Vespertine, so that's all I got. I have 3 of her songs on my computer, but really, that's it. I heard her new album was weird, and it has Rahzel, but that's not enough for me to go out and buy it ---- yet.

Just downloaded Bjork: Greatest Hits yesterday. I guess as one of the above posts say, her voice grows on you. Its still trying to grow. The jury's still out.

But then, maybe its not my age group. I'm a listener who ruined a bunch of vinyl copies of DARK OF THE MOON, SGT. PEPPER'S...THE WHITE ALBUM...DESPERADO...

But, I'll keep trying...

You're kidding....

You've never heard 'Big Time Sensuality'???

'Debut' was quite possibly the finest solo debut album of anyone released in the whole of the 1990's! ;) :)

Don't just listen to Bjork songs, do yourself a favor and listen to the albums. She is definitely one of the digital age musician's who is capable of making a cohesive work of art that plays better as a whole than it does as singles. All of her work is worth listening to, but I'd definitely recommend picking out one album from her first three solo's (Debut, Post, Homogenic) and listening to it the whole way through before making a verdict. Vespertine definitely wasn't as good as her other work for me (feel free to differ), but as is true in the case of many other artists, subpar work by a great artist is still better than most of the best work of mediocre and bad artists.

I agree with the poster above. Listening to the album is much better than listening to each song seperately.

I love the new one. Homogenic is still my favorite (by a landslide, I think it is absolutely incredible), but Medulla comes in second right now.

I actually don't really care for Debut.

Absolutely stunning!

Was out earlier today picking up some last-minute presents and 'Medulla' just jumped into my hands... a litle Xmas present for me.

Anyway, it's a fantastic work: intense and a bit brooding. There's some really interesting stuff going on in there deep in the mix...

And it's oddly Xmas-like as well. Light the candles...

Update on me and my Bjork collection......I still don't have anything. :p

However, I'll wait until after X-mas to see if there are any HMV gift certificates or any music stores out there before buying any CDs. Otherwise, I'm waiting until after X-mas, where I'll go to Futureshop and pick up the album for around $9 USD along with Handsome Boy Modelling School.

Looooove Canadian prices for CDs. ;)

I got Vespertine today (for X-mas :D).

Good Stuff. I already know half the songs, but it is good to have a CD :).
