Is there any advantage to downloading apps while in iTunes or just downloading them straight into the iPad without iTunes being opened? I've been downloading apps solely from the iPad. After a few days though I do sync the iPad with iTunes. Thanks for a reply 

Either way is perfectly fine. New apps or updated apps will sync both ways, iPad to iTunes or vice versa. If you update your apps in iTunes then they'll also update on your iPad next time you sync.

Okay testcard, thanks for the reply. I just thought downloading thru iTunes might be faster, but I guess it's not although you didn't mention if it would be faster or not. 

technically its faster thru the iPad ....... since you won't have to wait to sync to then have the app installed (since its already installed)

:D
