i want to buy this hard drive and pop it into my MacBook (current revision)

1. Will replacing the hard drive myself void the warranty?

2. will this hard drive fit properly in my computer?

Thanks

1. No.
2. Yes.

Btw, MRoogle (http://mroogle.edesignuk.com/) would have answered you this question a dozen times.

Page 37 or so of the User Guide of your Mac will tell you how to replace the HDD.

Why wouldn't it fit? It is a standard 9.5mm drive.

One can conclude, that I didn't say it wouldn't fit.
