I called the mall management office and spoke to a Brian, I think he's the assistant to head of security. The lady in charge wasnt there

I think the entrance closest to the :apple: store is the one at The Cheesecake Factory. At least that's the one I've always gone to and will again tomorrow.

I've queued up early before and was always inside so I couldn't tell you if a line forms outside or not.

We'll soon find out. :)

FYI, just spoke to Fair Oaks Management Office and they aren't letting anyone on the parking lot till 5:15a.m. and doors will open to the mall at 6:00a.m.

Confirmed that no one will be allowed on property ie: parked, walking, waiting, or driving before 6am. Cheesecake factory entrance will be the only entrance we can enter from. Doors open @6am. Once in we'll walk (or be kicked off property) to apple store/fountain area.

It wasn't really a big rush, a couple people ran but most just speed walked in. I'd say there was probably a crowd of 20ish people coming in at first but within an hour it got really packed and Apple set up some ropes to form lines.

Spoke with the head of security this evening. They have already corded off the area by the elevator, behind the info desk where the tables/chairs usually are, by L&T on the LL for the lines to form. Two lines, reserved and without. You can park in the lot by Cheesefactory as early as 5:50am as this will be the only door to enter. They said they will have 5 or more patrols on the parking lots to monitor the people.

Anyone running will be removed from the premises and denied entrance into the Apple store. Employees will also be monitoring or moving the lines into the store too. AT&T will have employees there to help with activation issues.

No white phones and I couldn't get anyone to spill the beans of how many phones they will have available for walk ins.

If I pre-ordered my iPhone stating that I wanted to port my current number and entered that number during checkout, do I HAVE to port that number when I pick up my pre-order? Or can I still get my iPhone but with a new number issued from AT&T?

The non-reservation line was pretty sick. Reservation line went first and moved pretty quick. I was done by 7:50am. Once inside the store it took about 5 minutes.

No docks. Only black bumper.

Loved the line. So fun to just chat people up.

Talked to Apple sales guy. He said if you have a pre-order then does not matter what time you show up today it will be ready.

I was there this morning. I got there about 8AM and the line was ridiculous (for both reserved and nonreserved). I waited until 9:30AM but had to leave to go to a meeting.

Anybody know what it is like now? I will try to stop by after 5PM when I get done with work. I hope it is better then.

When I left there around 11, The line was awful! I was able to walk in and get my iPhone 4, so idk how long the line will actually take.

I hope it gets better tonight. I have one reserved and the email says it should be available until closing. They should have made them available for a few days if they knew they were going to allow this many reservations.

I went at 1:30. The line was worse than this morning. They still had people in line from 7:30am. The line was up and down the stairs. Do not know what time they are going to close but good luck. I am just going to wait until July 2nd when my phone will ship.

I'm in line now and it's not that terrible. I can see the applestore entrance and I've only been here for 30 minutes. There is wifi too, so i can pas the time on my iPad. Only letting reserved people in line now, out of walkups.

13 hours I waited in the walk up line. ATT messed up my account when their servers crashed during the reservation time period. I had to have one of the ATT guys at the store swap my sims card on my account before I could purchase the phone. All is good now for me.

Ya -- I was in line down to Sears. I didnt have a reservation so they basically told me to go home and try tomorrow.

Well.. the line didn't look terrible at 7:15 but I didn't get out of the store until 10:15PM!! It was going incredibly slow. There were still about 40-50 people in the line when I left. These were all people who had reserved theirs. Up until like about 9:50 they still had some walkups that had been waiting for 13+ hours, but they got through all of them before I got mine (even though I had reserved).

They started offering people still in line the option to sign up for a voucher type thing so they could come in tomorrow or Friday and just pick up their phone. They were threatening people if they didn't take the voucher and leave that they might be kicked out when security shuts the mall down and they would lose their reservation completely! I think there would be a riot if that happened.

Anyways, I'm glad I got mine but next time I will try harder to order with delivery. I have no idea if there will be some available for walk in tomorrow. I think there might be a few where preorders were no-shows, but hard to say.

yes, they will have some tomorrow. Get there early. No bumpers until next week or later, same for the screen savers. I'm using my 3GS silicone case and it will work until the bumpers arrive. Black was the only color they did have it stock and I want a bright color one. I might order from the apple store if I can't find on at another place.

Ha..... maybe a couple for the weekend but they wouldn't be more definitive. For the accessories I wanted but not in stock they told me to call before going up there. Today early should be fine, although they were selling more 16s than 32s.
