The battery for a 3g is only 26 dollars or so...hmm. Anyone tried one? My battery is fine but at that price I wouldn't mind having longer life now.

Accelerate Your Mac (http://www.xlr8yourmac.com) had some articles on it. The one for the 1st gen lasted about 20 hours! This one is supposed to get about 30% extra life. Just be careful when you install it.

When I noticed battery life waning, I did the "wipe the hard drive" thing, reloaded music then fully charged and fully discharged. It did bring back "life" to the battery. I was figuring either on some type battery calibration or a fragmented / corrupted directory was causing the unit to work harder then it should. Fresh directory - fresh start, sounds good.
