Hi there, i am very new to the site. Pretty rubbish with computers but i really love my MAC, it's so easy to use and i never get any problems with it... until now!

I accidentally dragged my Excel icon from the dock and it disappeared. So i searched for it in finder, found it and put it back. However when i try to open Excel or anything that i created in Excel it will not open just saying that the " application quit unexpectedly".

I have been trawling through the net trying to find out how to fix this.

I am going to take it into an apple shop and book an appointment but as they are $145/hr i thought i would ask for help on here just incase someone has ever done the same thing!

Thank you lots! I am sure it may be something simple but as i said i am not great with computers!

Easiest thing to try is a reinstall. Just insert the installation CD/DVD and follow the instructions.
