Nope... I called the store and they said, Pre-order and upgraders/new buyers will be in the same line.

No, but it is clearly posted on this site that no walk-INS will be sold prior to 6-29

I'm guessing that the store you contacted didn't tell there employees yet what the deal is. If your camping at an AT&T store your gonna be wasting your time.
