I think the graphical eq in itunes is fairly good.

I hate 1khz with a passion... my Winamp is similair, although I generally play orchestral pieces from within MPlayer or something; which is set for no processing at all.

Mine: Off. I use a 4.1 system (that means w/a sub), so I don't need iTunes ********** with my dials for extra sound. Plus, I don't like reducing the frequencies of the music, as that means reduced sound.

I'm playing through some Alesis monitors, so my EQ is flat.

I use the volume logic plug-in for iTunes, as my stereo equipment is antiquated (my receiver has an eight-track slot). It is set to the "electronica" preset, partly because I listen to a lot of electronica/.indie and partly because I live in an apt. and the bass can cause problems.
