Ok. There you have it. Since the Redskins have existed their last home game before an election picks the winner. If the Redskins win the incumbent party wins if the Redskins lose the incumbent loses. Thank God I support Kerry and am a Packer fan. No conflicts of interest.

Edit : Clarified what a Redskins win/loss means for the election.

If the Red Sox manage to win the World Series, anything can happen and probably will. We might be able to simultaneously bury the "curse of the Bambino" and the "curse of the Bush." Oh, happy day!

I am a lifelong Cardinal fan. Still hurting over the losses in '85 and '87. Happy to be hurting over '04 if it means we get rid of Bush.

That's the spirit! I don't think I've ever rooted for an American League team in the World Series, until this year. It might have something to do with what the Cards did to the Dodgers in the playoffs, but I don't think so. Had they faced the Yankees, it would've been Cards all the way. Something else is going on here, and I think it must be cosmic.

but isn't the good thing about sports that it is not political? Think of those poor Kerry supporters in St. Louis that feel like the whole democratic party is against them. I'm just glad it wasn't Boston vs. Houston. That would have been too much.

I was rooting for the Red Sox just because I wanted to see someone beat the Yankees. If the Astros had made it to the series I would have been rooting for them (I was born in Houston). But since they didn't, go Red Sox!

I watched the game, as I do every other Packer game.

As the game sat at 20-14 in favor of Green Bay, Washington ran a play in which Clinton Portis scored a touchdown which would have tied the game and put Washington ahead with the extra point. The play got called back on an illegal motion penalty on Washington. In the replays no one was able to figure out what the penalty was for. They didn't re-run the play enough for me to get a good look at all of the players.

On the next play Al Harris made an interception for the Packers and ran it down the field setting up the scores that made it 28-14.

So we have a controversial call and a Harris managing to push his team over the top.

FL 2000. A controversial Supreme Court ruling and a Harris pushing her team to victory.

Hmmmmm.
