So, my Macbook is wonderful. I love it. The only problem I have is that there is no Firewire port. Now, when I bought the computer, it wasn't an issue. However, now I am starting to do some video editing for work, and I really need that Firewire port to connect to just about every camcorder I have come in contact with.
My question: I have an external hard drive with both USB and Firewire ports on it. If I connect the hard drive to my computer, then connect a camera to the hard drive, will it show up in iMovie? Assuming that the camera is compatible with the software, of course.
