Whoever took part in/filmed the 'pc mouse burning' should have their arms cut off taliban style.
Grow up... you give mac users a bad image.

Maybe people who wish horrific actions on other individuals like those performed by the heartless Taliban should grow up because they are giving Mac users a bad name.

Its was friday night at 12:00 and we was cold, ok we did want to see the mouse blow up but the reason for this is because, think of how many windows users dis us.
Oh and the mouse kept some people warm :)
I dont really want to start a debat about this (but it would keep this forum alive right?) :D

Yeah the mouse was just a bit of fun. What wasn't shown was when it was strung up from a lamp post then smashed against the curb then a few hours later (midnight i think) it was burned (well the bits were!)

lighten up scrooge :P
It was cold, late and we were bored. Come one, I hope you'll see the funny side of it.
Frankly, I don't know what was wrong with burning a mouse? (though it was a PC mouse - the majority of the people in that queue were MAC USERS. Who did we insult?)

Wasteful. Pointless. Bad for the environment. There are far better things to burn than plastic if you're cold (e.g. paper). There are far better things to do than smash up computer hardware for "fun". And it just makes Mac owners (or, at the very least, the ones in the queue) look like a bunch of PC-hating zealots.
Remember when that guy pretended his parents gave him a G5 PowerMac, gave the innards to his pal and hacked the case to fit a very shoddy-looking PC in it? There was a huge brou-ha-ha about it. Apple fans were up in arms about it and rightly so. One rule for PC owners, another for Mac users, perhaps?
martdaman: you burnt the mouse because Windows users dis Mac users? Burn a PC mouse - sure, that'll make it stop. Definitely. Why not stone PC users in the street as well? Pathetic.
And yes, I am offended by such actions. I found the G5 case thing equally offensive.

Come on, lighten up. They were all delerious and hallucinating having camped out in freezing temperatures. I mean, they're all completely sane... ;-)
Moving this thread along... there's a strong possibility the London Apple Store will be offering discounts this Friday 26 November. Last year the Apple Stores knocked 10% off iPods. Might be worth popping by the shop if you're in the market for any new hardware.

They list Shop Til You Rock on the Regent St news site on Sat 27 where you get a card with each purchase that might get you iTunes downloads,
Not quite as exciting as last Saturday!

OK so you think it was wrong burning the mouse because people walking by would think mac users are a bad influence? But this all happend at 12:00 at night when most people are in there homes asleep ok you get the few people that are drunk and are walking home but i think they would of probaly joined in and laughted.
Yes it would of been a diffrent story if the people in the queue started making a fire in the day time with a PC mouse and yes i wouldn't of really agreed with it then because there would have been a much bigger risk of someone getting hurt. But it was at night and mainly mac users around just having some fun.
THINK DIFFRENT, BURN DIFFRENT

hey,
sorry to drag up this old thread, but there was a guy who was collecting email addresses from the first 20/30 people in line - if you're reading, do you have that list?
thanks,

It was only a mouse, we were excited and what else happens when 300 Mac fanatics camp out together?? everyone starts insulting PCs, actually there was a lot less B*tching than i thought there would be. Just be glad no one pulled out a Dell laptop or something. Anyway it was only about 5 people that got involved in the mouse thing and the fire was not for warmth

It went on for a bit more than 20/30 - I was 150ish in the line and I put mine down.
Don't Suppose anyone has a copy of this list?

Wow, get a life. There's more important things to worry about than this. I mean I love Apple, what it stands for and all connected things, but at the end of the day it's a load of plastic.
