is this normal? (a finder issue)

hi, if i click on applications on the side bar in finder, i see all of my applications (pretty obvious really). however, if i go in to my hd > users > me> then click on applications, there is nothing there, just an empty folder! shouldnt my applications be in there?

Your applications are stored directly under computer>HD>Applications not in your user folder. So this is normal.

The /Users/"me"/Applications folder is a "private" application folder.
If you don't want that other users should have access to an app, put it here..
