I haven't listened to any of their albums, but I have seen them live and they aren't a band I'd really pay any attention to. About as mediocre as they get when it comes to the New York scene

I've got their 'Trial of the Century' LP. I'm of the opinion that it was a really good album. Whats the question though? Do you mean that Amazon or some database or friends are suggesting them, or do you already listen to them? Anyways, they get my seal of approval. If you go to the walkmen's website at http://www.marcata.net they might still have some mp3 links for the stuff that the French Kicks recorded at their studio.
